Town Square is a website/app platform developed by Associa Community Group for community members to communicate with the community manager, Anthony Murphy and vice versa.

Communication on Town Square can include neighborhood events, HOA board meeting date and times, documents such as budget, bylaws, rules and any other pertinent neighborhood information. Please use this forum for general HOA questions, to pay HOA dues, request attention to any issues.

HOA Board meetings are held quarterly and open to all residents. An annual meeting is held each December and is always open to all residents. Dates and times of meetings are posted on Town Square.

The Summer Lake Social Committee is a volunteer based group of residents that plan and hold neighborhood events throughout the year. Below is an example of previously held events by the social committee:

Summer Lake Community Facebook Page:

Once you close on your property, you are able to join the Summer Lake Community Facebook page as well as the Summer Lake Social Activities page. A list of suggested service individuals and companies (baby and pet sitting, lawn services, cleaning services, handy man, etc.) can be found under the files section of the Summer Lake Community Facebook page.

Amenities at Summer Lake

Amenities included in your HOA dues include an Olympic competition swimming pool with splash pad, lighted tennis and pickleball courts, sand volleyball, basketball courts, fitness center, biking & walking trails, playgrounds and outdoor pavilion to meet all of your personal, family, and business needs. All facility guidelines and rules can be found on Town Square.

Pool Information for Residents

Pool Membership Application and Pool Passes: Pool passes WILL BE required for entry to the pool. To obtain a pool pass please e-mail a completed Pool Membership Application to Anthony Murphy. The application can be found on the portal and Town Square. Assessments need to be current prior to pool passes being issued.

Keep cards always. Yearly stickers will be mail prior to each pool season. Cost for replacement cards is $10.

Pool Hours:
Weekends: 11:00AM – 8:00PM
Days when school is in session: 4:30PM – 8:00PM
After school lets out: 11:00AM – 8:00PM
Holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day): 11:00AM – 7:00PM

Pool Guest Passes: Guests are $5.00 for each pool visit in 2023. Please pay the lifeguard upon entering the pool area. Either cash or checks are acceptable.
Pool Party Rental: Rental of the entire pool for private parties is currently not allowed. For parties of more than 10 guests in attendance please contact Anthony Murphy at amurphy@communitygroup.com. Pool party form in portal and can be found on Town Square.
Pool Wi-Fi: The password for the sl-pool wifi is Bubbakeg!

Swim Team: Summer Lake is the proud home of the Summer Lake Tsunamis. For more  information about joining the swim team, swim meets or general information, please visit their website: www.slswim.net.

Tennis Courts and Pickleball:

There are four, lighted tennis courts available for the use of Summer Lake Residents. Courts are first come and do not have reservations.

Pickleball: Both sets of tennis courts are also marked for pickle ball. Anyone interested in being added to the Pickleball League GroupMe, can contact Jessica Bauer at (610) 301-7840 or Mike Oberschmidt at (804) 334-6125 with their name and phone number. If anyone is interested in “learn to play” lessons/clinics, and/or regular lessons, they can contact Jessica Bauer (610) 301-7840.

Fitness Center

Hours: The fitness center is open 24 hours and can be accessed using a fitness center access
card.

Fitness Center Cards: Access cards are required to enter the fitness center. They can be acquired by filling out the access request form on the forms page and e-mailing your request to Pam Valentine at pj.valentine68@gmail.com. Cost to replace lost cards is $10 per card.

Fitness Center Rules: Rules are included on the access request form or can be found on Town Square.

Clubhouse: Any Summer Lake resident in good standing can rent the clubhouse for a personal event. Residents must be present at all times during the function. The facilities may be used only for personal family events and may not be used for events host by or benefiting outside organizations or individuals. The facilities may not be subleased or otherwise made available for the use of or benefit of other than the Renter.

The maximum number of persons allowed in the clubhouse is 177 due to limited parking.

Only residents of Summer Lake may pick up the key, unless a prior arrangement has been made. The pool and pool area are not to be used in conjunction with a clubhouse rental.

You will need to supply your own ice, linens, servicing pieces, plates, silverware and cleaning
supplies.

Alcohol: Renters agree to obtain a Banquet License from the ABC Board if ANY alcohol is to be brought or served. A copy of said license must be provided prior to the event.

Cost and Rental Procedure: The cost to rent the clubhouse is $200 and a $500 refundable
security deposit. To make a rental request the following form needs to be completed and sent to Anthony Murphy at amurphy@communitygroup.com.

The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) regulates the external design, appearance and locations of properties and improvements within Summer Lake. The ARC reviews and approves, modifies or disapproves written applications submitted by owners and the association for improvements or additions to lots, homes and/or common areas. Periodic inspections are conducted to determine compliance with the architectural standards. Guidelines for modification can be found on the documents tab in Town Square. , document titled” SK-Rules and Regulations.pdf”. To make a modification to your property, the following form must be completed and sent to the review committee. The form can also be found on Town Square.

Mailboxes: For information on changing the name on your mailbox or for the Summer Lake mailbox decals please contact Pamela Valentine at pj.Valentine68@gmail.com.

Garbage collection is included in your HOA dues and is provided by Choice Waste Services. Collection occurs every Friday. Please place your garbage receptacles on the curb the night prior to collection. If you do not have a large, rolling garage receptacle upon move in, please contact Anthony Murphy at amurphy@communitygroup.com.

waste guidelines and holiday schedule, please visit Choice’s website.

Recycling: Recycling is not provided. Residents can contact Choice Waste Services to set up bi-weekly recycling starting July 1, 2023 by calling (804) 234-4444. The service will cost $8.50 a month.
